trust

as i was sitting, waiting for the UPS guy to deliver my passport, i reflected on the idea of trust. trusting God versus trusting people have often swayed like a pendulum in my life. for long time while i was growing up i didn't trust people instead i only trusted in God. he was the only sure thing in my life and had never let me down so it was easy to trust Him verses fallible and imperfect humans. and then sometime in my early 20's i began to realize that my lack of trust in people exposed a flaw in my trust in God. if I trusted God so completely then i needed to trust the people that He had placed in my life for whatever reason and purpose. and so the pendulum started to sway towards the center. finding balance between trusting God and trusting people. but over the last year or two i've begun to notice i've been trusting people more than God. disappointment with God and challenging times have lead me to trust those around me more than my loving heavenly Father. and in recent months God has reinforcing the fact that my trust in Him must out weigh my trust in anything else. governments may control, people can help but God is the source of all is worthy of trust. trusting and thankful for:

* a God that is perfectly trustworthy at all times and in every circumstance!

* my visa and passport!!!!!! hooray :)

* good friends that have gotten me through these past four months!

what a relief it is to have my passport in hand with the visa inside :) and what better joy than knowing i will leave on 1 june to return to england! please pray for my last week and a half as i wrap up and get ready to hit the ground running.
